Covenant University Green Energy Hub
The Covenant University Green Energy Hub is a first-of-its-kind demonstration project showcasing integrated renewable energy and hydrogen systems within a live university campus environment.
Designed as a modular smart microgrid, the Hub combines solar PV, a PEM electrolyzer, hydrogen storage, a fuel cell, and an advanced energy management system to provide clean, reliable power and enable practical research, education, and capacity building.
Developed in partnership with Covenant University, CrossAfrique Hydrogen, Dara-Manihot Industries, and Centre of Expertise Water (NL), the project aims to decarbonize campus operations, enable hands-on learning in solar-hydrogen systems, and serve as a replicable model for low-carbon energy deployment across institutions and industrial zones in Africa.
